Hi there! I’ve been active in the local horse community in and around Hamilton for 20 years and have always had a love for horses. I enjoy teaching and coaching and giving back to the industry by helping horses and their riders.

I am an Equine Canada certified coach in both English and Western disciplines, with active English Coach 1 and Western Instructor certificates. I make every effort to uphold the ethics of Equine Canada and try to create safe and productive riding situations for everyone.

I've had some great local coaches over the years, including Lisa McGunigle-Hunt, Jennifer Irwin, Ann Morgan, Curtis Barbour, and Rebecca Schoenhardt. I've also been very fortunate to clinic with Olympians Lucinda Green and Mac Cone, Pan-American Games Competitors Penny Rowland, Tom Dvorak and Jon Costin, and also many other respected national and international trainers including Walter Zettl, Mary Wanless, John MacPherson, David Wilding-Davies, Yannick Patron, Pat Carter, and Blair Nichols.

I have a competitive background in eventing, dressage, western pleasure, low level hunters and jumpers. If you’re interested in working with me please get in touch anytime.

Coaching:
With an interest in correct basics and biomechanics, I can help you build a strong riding foundation in your discipline on the flat. I can also help you learn or improve your jumping technique. Lower levels of dressage, equitation, western pleasure, english pleasure, hunters and jumpers are my areas of specialty.

Riding:
If you don’t have time or aren’t able to ride your horse, let me do it for you. Riding can be combined with lesson time to improve both horse and rider.

Training:
If you horse needs tuning up for sale, is changing disciplines, or just needs a little polish, then training is what you need. I can also take a limited number of horses on for foundation training and backing, please ask for details.
